For your bidding consideration I am pleased to offer these 4 "ROYAL WORCESTER FRUIT CABINET PLATES" hand painted by "RICHARD SEBRIGHT" dated 1924 and made for Tiffany & Co. New York. (Richard Sebright was possibly considered the most highly regarded fruit painter of all time, he worked for the Royal Worcester Factory painting fruit for a total of fifty-six years. It is said that Richard Sebright was so painstaking in his work, so determined that each piece he produced was the best he could do. He was considered to be the best fruit painter living by his fellow painters of fruit). These breathtaking plates are 9" and have a teal green base background with extenstive hand gilding, each fruit is hand painted with vibrant life like colors and precise technique. All four plates are signed "R. Sebright" on the front and on the backside have the Royal Worcester hallmark with a * and four dots on each side (dating these plates to 1924), they also have underglaze in red, RdNo651926, an e over 1331, incise O over a 13, W, Y11 and are in excellent condition no chips, cracks or hairlines, there is however 2 scratches on the peach (please refer to picture #6, I believe this can easily be repaired) other than that there is no ware or gold loss............displaying as the very day Sebright painted them.
