An unposted RP sepia card of this still very identifiable scene on the road from Stone Pound to Clayton. The little gateway to the left now appears to be a large concreted entrance to a nature reserve or somesuch? The Jack and Jill mills can be seen, as also can the 'Jack & Jill' pub, Clayton church and other buildings. I think I can spot some cattle in the distance, which would now be a serious issue on that road. The obverse of the card is stamped with the stationer's details - just the same as my collection copy. When held to the light, a few small marks show up, but do not seriously detract from this very nice card.
