Original vintage real photo postcard.
- This excellent & likely rare postcard features a view of the Iron Dyke Mines Company buildings in Homestead, Oregon. According to information found in "Reports of Cases Decided in the Supreme Court of the State of Oregon" (Bancroft-Whitney Company : San Francisco, 1921), Homestead was the terminus of the Homestead Branch of the Oregon Short Line Railroad Company, which connected Homestead to Huntington, OR. T was also a private wagon road connecting Homestead, Copperfield & Oxbow, all in Baker County. As indicated by the verso note, the Homsetead-Iron Dyke Mines Company buildings are featured, as is the railroad line, snake river, & tennis court. My guess is that Homestead no longer exists, making this postmark quite rare. The card also features a verso stamp advertising Liberty Loan Bonds.

- In good condition; wear at corners, including tiny bend at lower right; trace surface flaws & slight soiling to verso.
