RS Germany Covered Jam Jar and Underplate This old jam jar is absolutely gorgeous. Delicately detailed painting in a free flowing design of multi colored raspberries and green leaf vines. Trimmed with gold rims and gold handle. A notch for spoon (no spoon). Underplate 5 3⁄4Â" jar 3 1⁄4Â" to top of lid handle 5Â" Condition is beautiful and clean, colors are vibrant, and for honesty and accuracy only thing to report is a few tiny specks of gold loss w lid rests and at one time spoon rested. See photos of rim Â-itÂ's not a chip, but tiny area of gold loss uneveness w spoon must have rested. Mark Â- Plate and Jar both blue marked RS with laurel wreath, Germany under wreath and star above wreath. I have seen these sell for over $100.00. Happy Bidding Â- no reserve Insurance required.
