ES Script mark. This is from the late 1800s, and is from the Erdmann Schlegelmilch factory.Manufactured by Erdmann Schlegelmilch (E.S.Prussia) of Suhl, Thuringia, Germany, Circa late 1800's.Rare and unusual shape, wide handle, with five oyster wells and a smaller sauce well. Hand painted with dainty blue florals with green vines on a soft yellowish green background. (It may be more yellow to some eyes.)Two black Swallows are painted on the center well. Light grit on bottom of center well from factory, well under glaze. Excellent condition with wear on high areas w shells have scraped the plate. Please see photos.Measures 8 1/4" x 8 1/2". Approximately 1" deep.No cracks or chips. Priority to your zip. 1 to 2#.
