This is a RUANA knife works model 10A skinner, signed by Rudy. It has also been called the "smoke jumper knife, due to it's small size and light weight, it was ideal to include in the smokejumpers kit. The blade is 3 1/2 inches long and the handle is 2 3/4 inches long with elkhorn inserts. The handle is stamped R.H. Ruana Bonner, Montana. T is no M next to the stamp, indicating that the knife was made sometime in 1982 or 1983, juat before Rudy retired. The sheath is the standard 23A looped sheath with Ruana stamped over a deer head and crossed knives. T are a few slight scuff marks on the sheath, but otherwise, both knife and sheath are in excellent condition.
