RUBY MEADERS chicken - southern folk pottery is a fabulous grey and black rooster/chicken ( whichever ) from the youngest child of Cheever and Arie Meaders, and sister to lanier, John, Edwin, and Reggie Meaders. This much sought after bird is signed on the bottom and dated 2002. I believe Ruby set up her own pottery wheel in 1999, and has turned many pottery animals, and other items since then. Many observers of Meaders pottery see a distinct similiarity to the work of her mother, Arie. This is a great mint piece, that is 11 12 inches tall, 6 inches wide and about 6 inches deep. I will ship UPS and insured for $20. Thanks for looking at my pottery.
