A substantial piece of Zoisite with a large embedded Ruby crystal plus greenish-black Pargasite.

Ruby is a red variety of Corundum, the second hardest natural crystal after diamond. Low grade rubies are often used for grinding other stones due to their hardness.
Pargasite is named after its type locality, the Pargas valley in Finland.
