RUBY RED SEQUIN SLIPPERS REPLICAS This is a pair of US size 6 shoes with 2 inch heels that have been designed after the most well know shoes in history. Not much is know about this pair. They were given to me by a friend who discovered them while working at a second-hand store. He immediately snatched them up for me, knowing I am an Oz fan/collector. They have a cloth tag sewn into them that reads "Unlisted". The bottoms are covered with red felt. The bows appear to be exact replicas of the originals. They are outlined with ruby rhinestones, set in silver backings, with 3 rectangular costume jewels and bugle beads on each bow. The sequins themselves appear to be sewn on, as threading is visible and they don't just wrap around the shoe like many pairs frequently seen on eBay, they closely match their famous counterparts. I'm not quite sure how old they are, but they don't appear to ever have been worn, as the felted bottoms look clean and vibrant. As I said, I don't know much more about them, so I don't know if they were made for a play or just for a collector. I've only decided to part with them, because I am drastically downsizing my collection and thought that they could use a good home.
