This Flute is one of the rarest models from Rudall Carte. It is in Beautiful, playing condition having been overhauled in recent years by a flutemaker.
BODY : The one piece (foot and body) body is made of Grenadilla, in great condition with no cracks KEYS : Solid silver keys, boehm system, closed hole low C with Briccaldi F# and C# trill. The key work is solid and pads seal very well. HEAD JOINTS : The original head is wooden with a solid silver lip plate inserted. The embouchure hole is oval, and has a sweet sound. T is also a solid silver Flutemakers Guild London Head with it that has a more modern sound with good projection. CASE : The case is wooden/leather bound in solid conditon, but the leather is scuffed. PLAYABILITY : This flute plays at A 440, and is a real delight to play, it won't slow you down at all. VALUE : Valued many years ago at Top Wind in London for STG5000. This is the only flute I have ever seen made by Rudall Carte, and is not the usual high pitched example.
