For sale: Russell Hobbs 1960s Teasmade. This has been in my family for many years. To judge from the original guarantee card, it was purchased new from Binns Limited in Darlington in 1960. It was probably given to my mother by her aunt, and I in turn inherited it from her. I recall it being used occasionally.I do not know if it still works. It does NOT have the plug for the mains connection (perhaps this is a spare that can be sourced on eBay? I think a standard electric kettle two-hole plug of the period might do), but it comes with the original box (a bit battered, and the lid has just parted from the rest of the box), lid for the pot once the tea has been made and guarantee card on the back of which are the instructions. The ceramic teapot and lid are in excellent condition, as are the water heater bowl and element. A period piece for the collector or person seeking to provide the 1960s look to a home. The item will be carefully packed.
