Up for auction is a real Bronze Sculpture (lost wax process-heavy, 14Lb) that is signed by CM Russell. It is extremely well cast with amazing detail. The artwork depicts a western mountain man fighting off a lion with only his muzzle loader. They are midway in their fight and I don’t know who would win. In the long run it is CM Russell who won with this gem of a sculpture. The bronze sculpture stands approximately 17” tall, by 12” wide and 5” deep, and weighs 14 pounds, sits flat on a fireplace mantel, no base. This is from my own collection that I am selling on Ebay due to downsizing. I love the massiveness and action of the sculpture. Please look closely at the photos, they tell the story. If you have any questions, feel free to ask me. PLEASE NOTE: The rains are in the Mountain Mans Hand and not connected to the horse. They could be easily braised back on, but I feel that it looks great as it is. Charles Marion Russell (March 19, 1864, St. Louis, Missouri—October 24, 1926, Great Falls, Montana also known as C. M.
