RUSSIAN IMPERIAL GOLD PINE CONE NATIVITY EGG, Collector Egg. Made and Cast of 22k Gold finished Bronze and porcelian, and a natural egg shape.In the Russian Byzantine style, the design representing a pine cone which opens to reveal the hand painted figures of the Nativity. Quality key wound musical movement plays "Silent Night". Egg is set with jewel cut Austrian gemstones. Top finial clasp. Overall measures approx 8" in height. Has fitted satin lined presentation case. This Egg is an adaption of an original designed by Peter Carl Faberge commissioned by His Majesty, Czar Nicolai II, in the year of 1900 and presented to the Dowager Empress Marie. Condition is new, and is an authentically reproduced masterpiece of the original Carl Faberge design . Usually sold exclusively in St. Petersburg and Moscow Cathedral, Museum, and Palace gift shops, in Russia.
