this is an exquisite hand painted Russian lacquer trinket/pill hexagon box. it is completely handmade and hand painted. it has an exquisite scene of a horse with rider in a whimsical scene with a half moon background. the detail is truly sup erb, the detailing is so tiny when you use a magnifying glass you can even see the pupils in the figures eyes. also another artist did the beautiful gold colored scroll work border and on the sides as well. very well done painting. it is signed by the 2 artists at the bottom of the painting. the box is black in color and has a red lining with a great hexagon shape. the top and bottom have a great slight domed shape. it is in good shape. measures 3 3/4 x 2 3/4 inches Thank you for visiting "Dusty Treasures " and please feel free to browse through my online ebay store where you can find several more wonderful items similar to this.
