The Exclusive Russian Icon of Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin. The Archangel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth, to a virgin, Mary, espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David. Traditional old Russian technique of Iconpainting: handpainted with egg tempera paints. Levkas - gesso on wood pane. Kovcheg - raised borders. Good quality of the painting. Very good condition. XIXth Century. Size 7"1/2 by 9" or 19 by 22,5 cm.
