Four inflation covers posted on July 27-28, 1922 :
1 - Odessa Station, via Moscow, to Berlin correctly franked at 45R with nine copies of the Imperial Arms 5R stamp now equal to 5R again in inflated 1922 rubles. Note the oval cancel of Odessa Station M.K.V. Zh.D. and three solid triangles Odessa Eksped transit/censor. Note also the boxed "B2" German customs cachet. Part of address blacked out. Note the stamps used are the scarcer perf 12 1/2 issue.
2 - Ratkino, Kiev, via Moscow, to Berlin correctly franked at 45R with a strip of five 7R plus a 5k and pair of 1R imperf Imperial Arms stamps now equal to 7R, 5R and 1R in inflated 1922 rubles plus a strip of four 7500R on 250R Soviet pictorials now equal to 75k each to round out the 3R needed to make the correct rate in 1922 rubles. Note the boxed "B1" German customs cachet. Part of address blacked out with a tear at upper right.
3 - Odessa Station, via Moscow, to Dr. Brender in Berlin correctly franked at 45R with a block of eight 5R and a strip of five 1R imperf Imperial Arms stamps now equal to 5R and 1R in inflated 1922 rubles. Note the oval cancel of Odessa Station M.K.V. Zh.D. and three solid triangles Odessa Eksped transit/censor cancel. Not e, again, the 5R stamps used from Odessa Station are the sca rcer perf 12 1/2. Envelope has creases before stamps applied.
