Russian Jacob Empire Secretaire Desk ca 1800 breathtaking desk of very rare "Russian Jacob" style, developed originally by famouos French maker George Jacob (family of furniture makers) through 1780-1810ss. invented by French style has received highest appreciation in Russia in its most ascetic, regency variation (no bronze castings, no marquetry). On the Russian market this is most sought after kind of furniture. Creation Year: ca 1790-1820 Technique: mahogany, brass, mirror, cloth Measurements in cm: 114 х 105 х 57 Measurements in inches: 45 x 41 x 22.3 Style/subject: Jacob/desk Inscription if any: not noted Condition: very good, low wear, looks to be pristine Restoration: not noted basically, but cloth seems to be replaced.
