This is one of the RAREST documents of Soviet Russia to EVER surface! It is the promotion order for a man of JEWISH ethnicity to be promoted to the rank of General in the Red Army.Fyla (Phil) Elevich (a Levite) L I P I S (Latvian Jew), entered the Red Army in 1930, by 1944 the Red Army was waiting in Poland for the Germans to completely erradicate the Warsaw Ghetto before rolling on.While they were waiting, somebody decided to promote Comrade Lipis to General on August 21,1944. This document was then passed from General to General to sign off on his promotion,until it reached Marshall Rokossovski,who agreed on the 9th of September, 1944. General Lipis's decorations include (up to 9/44) 2 Orders of the Red Banner*The Order of Kutuzov 2nd Class*The Defense of Stalingrad Medal* Special mention in the Daily Orders of the Red Army for Special Valor at Stalingrad on 3/31/43. The document is double sided and measures 11.75 inches by a tad under 8 inches.
