ITEM DESCRIPTION From a smoke free home , I offer you a very special Spawn collectible — A professionally graded copy of the earliest known comic book in which Spawn appears, with that appearance being in a full-page black and white Spawn pin-up by Todd McFarlane on the inside back cover. This inside back cover appearance is promoting the upcoming release of Spawn #1 (I consider this a "cameo" appearance). As the indicia for the book shows, it was published in APRIL of 1992. If you didn't react just now to reading the word "April" then let me explain: Malibu Sun #13 and Spawn #1 were both published in MAY . That's right... this full page of published Spawn artwork PRE-DATES the two books that collectors have been arguing all these years over which comic book actually contains the first appearance of Spawn — and is therefore clearly a must-own for the Spawn collector. The third picture included in this listing is one I previously took to compare the inner back cover showing the Spawn page, side by side with the inner back cover of Megaton #2. I consider the Spawn page to be a pin-up; I think of an advertisement as something that contains promotional language which this does not. But arguably the pin-up is included to promote Spawn #1, so PGX describes it as an advertisement on their label. Regardless of what we might call the Spawn
