Rustic Antique Pie Safe Punched Tin Panel Texas Star We shopped until we almost dropped this weekend and hit a some fabulous sales - one in a HUGE old barn, and came back with some incredible early antique primitives and unique pieces. We also still have items from the drive way up north in Illinois - almost to Wisconsin . You don’t want to miss these listings, so keep checking! Here is a fabulous original antique pie safe window panel that was saved from demolition. Sadly, too many have met that demise as they were not appreciated to their rustic charm. And that's exactly what this one has, and the hand punched pattern has what I call a Texas star in the center - love it! It measures 14 1/8" wide by 9 1/4" tall. The patina on the tin is dark - darker than it looks in the light of my photos. As you can see in my photos, this one is in excellent solid and sturdy condition, with lots of rust - much of it surface, but some of it that has eaten through the tin, you can see the spots all around the sides and corners. The punched tin border on one side is right up to the edge - I don't know if that was original, or if that side fell victim to the rust, but it's smooth on that side, not jagged. I consider items like these beautiful primitive pieces of Americana folk art - and they're getting harder and harder to find. Enjoy! Payment is due within 7 business days after close of auction, after that, the sale will be void, and I will relist the item. I have had some trouble with the Ebay shipping calculator giving people bombastic shipping rates (especially after purchase with the Ebay “Pay Now“ invoice on Parcel Post rates). I charge shipping cost, so if you think it’s too high, email me so that I can check it out, before you pay me. That being said, we pack very well, so that will add to the weight. I ship within two business days of receipt of your payment, or I will notify you otherwise. With postage rates going up and up, I am shipping more items Parcel Post. Please realize that this can mean a 2-3 week delivery, sometimes longer. As a matter of fact, this year, I’m finding the “longer” more the norm. Parcel Post travels by land or rail and, at least in this area, packages do not leave the regional post office until they fill up a bin going in the same direction (so there’s no estimated exact number of days like you have with Priority Mail - the Post Office says 5-7 days, but that‘s not what I’m finding). I mail right away so it can get to you as soon as possible. With the exception of the most heavy and/or large items, I will always give both Priority Mail and Parcel Post as shipping options, with Priority being first for my lighter items. Be sure you check out both rates . I will be happy to ship an item in a flat rate Priority mail box, if that is cheaper to you - as long as the item will fit well packed in the box - ask me before you bid if you think that’s the case for you.
