From my Personal Collection: One Rustic Fancy Cowboy Spur Hand Forged.This old vintage cowboy spur came from the Douglas, Arizona area. Procured from one of the local ranches by my Mexican Amigo Jesse.He was my supplier of cowboy gear for my Barnwood Plaques,that I make and sell with different themes like the cowboy,the prospector,the trapper,and the sutler.This spur would of gone on one of those plaques but,I quit making them because I could get more for the stuff that was on them by the each than by selling the Plaque.I do have two of them in the Rock Springs Cafe at Black Canyon City in the Saloon.This cool old rustic spur has a very sharp 8 pointed star rawl that turns quite readily.It is a little musical also.The chain is obviously hand forged each link different from the other.I would have to say this spur was made by a Blacksmith,a true craftsman.I believe they call this kinda spur a "Bottleopener".The more I look at it the spur the more details I see,but I don't see any makers marks.Too bad he did some mighty fine work.This very cool old hand forged fancy cowboy spur is being sold "as is",rust and all.
