~RW~ RAINBOW OBSIDIAN CARVING ~~ WONDERFUL IRIDESCENCE Seen with an electron microscope, the layers of color in this material have been found to be rods of pyroxene. Light waves are scattered or absorbed according to the relative size of the rods in each layer, producing the color of that particular layer. Cleverly thought out angled cuts, applied with quite a bit of elbow grease, oriented to this iridescent band that formed this MAGICAL FLOWER. THIS WOULD MAKE A WONDERFUL GIFT FOR SOMEONE SPECIAL!!! This measures approximately 1 1/2"wide, 2 3/4"high and 3/4"thick. Successful bidder pays $2.00 S&H plus cost of any insurance. International shipping rates will vary.
