I have for auction an original United States Rock Island Arsenal manufactured M-1904 First Aid pouch dated 1905, Unit marked in outstanding condition for it's age with no damage to speak of. This was a part of the web belt attached items as per 1903 specs and would be the proper pouch for the 1st/2nd pattern Mills Eagle snap cartridge belt (Russell also) designed for the M-1903 Springfield rifle chambered in .30-06. It underwent many changes in it's life span from snaps to attaching to the web belt, not to common to find a 2nd year issue though. Overall canvas is in very sound condition with no damage to speak of and has a nice khaki color all around, it is marked on the front "9 G" but a bit faded as it was covered over at some point. The inside is in fine condition and shows the R.I.A. 1905 stamp but is faint as pictures show. Not sure on the brass web hook as the original 04 model was more straight. Glove snaps are in perfect working condition and the front of the snap head's have what seems to be an enamel coating which many of the others I have also show. A great addition to any early pre WW1 U.S. web belt collection for sure. Feel free to ask any ? on this item as all my items are sold with no reserve and starting price low. Item's sold as is as I will do my best to describe and show them. I try to get the shipping right and read more
