S-8. WWII Polish patriotic badge, 1940, interesting. This is a badge/stickpin of the Polish royal eagle, and it has "IN MEMORIAM 1940" which I assume is a refence to the fall of Poland to the Germans. Very nice quality badge, appears to be real silver and probably British made. No makers marks. Most likely worn by a Polish soldier serving in the British Army, or a relative. The free Polish units had a reputation for ferocity and were crack troops for the most part.
