In this auction you are bidding on a Antiaircraft range indicator mark 1 used by the U.S Navy in world war 2. You get the device, the original box and the original instruction manual.The instruction manual is very neat because it says its restricted. When you open it up it explains how the device is used to tell machine gunners when enemy aircrafts are in range. There is also a list of German, Japanese, and Italian aircrafts and there wingspans to assist in shooting them down.another interesting fact about this piece of equipment is that it was common knowledge that most factories converted over to military purposes during the war. This piece was made by AC gilbert who was well known for making American Flyer train sets as part of there war contributions.
