SABA Freudenstadt 9 German tube radio, built 1958in the famous german SABA factory, Villingen, black forest.Here in the dark brown version. Typical design of the fantastic late 1950ies. This radio has been restored by myself , electrically and optically . I am engineer for telecommunication andrestoring SABA tube radios sincemore than 20 years.In that period I got a lot of experience with these radios.The wood and varnishing is in a very good condition , although there are some signs of age on the varnishing,as little spots, scratches and colorless dashes,almost only visible against bright light. But as a fair seller I am mentioning this... Corrected, cleaned and polished.The ornamental brass border aroundthe front of the radio has patina, signs of oxidation, nothing uncommon... Please just have a look at the fotos, the cabinet all in all looks really ok ! The cloth is clean and in excellent condition. The radio has 2 full band speakers ( greencones ) in front and a special tweeter system,a so called "sound compressing system"for full 3D-sound effect to the left and right. The chassis has been restored electrically. The tubes are all new or used in mint condition. The magic eye EM84 is NEW and working perfect. All bad capacitors are changed , the mechanic is working perfect, the switches are in good working condition. All knobs and pushbuttons are original.The radio has its original power cord and SABA power plug ! The chassis itself is cleaned and in mint condition ! The speakers are all in mint condition, too ! The radio has following tubes inside: EC92 , EC92 , ECH81 , EBF89 , EABC80 , EC92 , EL95 , EL95 , EM84The end stage of the radio is a PUSH-PULL type,with the two EL95 working in push - pull mode.These end stages have a very dynamic and impressing sound !After restoring this radio the filters were aligned professional,using a professional Grundig AS5 test transmitter. Result: Fantastic sound, a lot of bass and clear highs !Perfect receipt on FM, also on AM , short wave and long wave ! MP3 or CD can be connected with aspecial adapter cable availabe on ebay.de,please feel free to answer for it. The dimensions of the radio are: 635 x 375 x 285 mm / 25 x 14.8 x 11.2 inch The radio is factory prepaired to work on 220/230 VACas well as on 110/120 VAC.
