Original wildlife art. A stunning original oil paintingon canvas direct from the studio of David Stribbling, one of the UK'sleading wildlife artists and listed at Artprice, the world leader in art market information (see ) and also Artnet (). Intensely evocative study of a Sable. After over 25 years as a wildlife artist painting in a realistic and often highly detailed style I feel I need to experiment with other methods. With this painting I am throwing off the shackles and putting my interpretation of the sable entirely in my brushwork. I used only two larger brushes forcing me to use only brushstrokes rather than detail. Also no painting medium was used just pure oil paint giving an impasto vibrancy with a nod to the Impressionist and Expressionist principles. Many artists throughout history have gone through different periods and phases in their creative life and this is mine. We live in different times though so I'm just letting these paintings fly and see where they go. The size of this painting is 10x12" (unframed). Galleries and collectors on both sides of the Atlantic eagerly await new work by this artist, whose work has been sold through world renowned auction houses Christies (London) and Phillips (Chester).
