This Sabre brand melon tester has stainless steel long blade and is sharp and does not appear to have ever been sharpend. The total length is 5 1/8" when closed and the blade is 4 1/8"...The front side is our daylight celestial design with the pearl sun the fire opal saturns the shooting stars and the Northern star.. The one constant in the day and night sky. The turquoise has gold matrix veins running through it which is a symbol of our planet.. The opposite side is jett onyx and this is our night sky design. It has the gold lip crescent moon the big boom or the start of the universe with all of the five sided stars shooting out from it..
