THE 'JAMES SADLER' BONE CHINA COVERED TEA POT! Founded in 1882 - JAMES SADLER is the United Kingdom's LEADING BRAND in the COLLECTABLE TEAPOT market. It ALL began with James Sadler, who built a factory in Stoke-On-Trent, and made a name for himself by making the finest Bone China and Earthenware Teapots highly desired by Europes Royals and Its' most 'Elite'. He soon became renowned, and a JAMES SADLER Teapot became synonymous with Quality and Good Taste. When covered, this unique and extremely rare James Sadler Teapot stands almost 5 full inches tall to the top of the finial. The pot itself is approximately 5" in diameter not including the spout or handle. The round footed base is 3" in diameter; and is also 3" in width to the outside rims of the opening. Beautifully designed with a lavendar, yellow, deep red, and blue floral bouquet, with green leaves and fernery intricately entwined around a full blossomed pink rose in the center and within the flowers. This floral bouquet is on the left and right side of the teapot with the pink blossomed rose a little larger on one side of the bone china pot. The matching lid is also adorned with the same flowers - less the rose and in a smaller arrangement on the left and right. The rim of the pot is gently scalloped bone china - as is the rim of the lid, and the rim of the footed base. T are also beautiful bands of gold on the tip of the spout, rim of the pot; and base of the pot; and two swirls of gold on each side of the finial top of the lid and more boldly on the tea pot handle. This lovely tea pot is in excellent condition. It was purchased in Scotland years ago along with another Teapot I recently sold; and has been used for 'Display' purposes only in a 'fine' china curio cabinet. If you are a Collector of Fine Bone China, then you will find the offer on this beautiful TEA POT much more than reasonable - and a real STEAL DEAL at this price! REPLACEMENTS, LTD. - The Specialists on value and replacement costs for the very finest in China items; and who offers replacements for CHINA, CRYSTAL, or SILVER - confirms that this pattern is no longer available since Churchill China, in 2000, purchased the James Sadler brand, one of the worlds largest manufacturers of Bone China Teapots. And to date are expounding into their own designers and patterns. This pattern is extremely rare and unique, and not available in their current stock of James Sadler Bone China Teapots. The very bottom of the china teapot is embossed with SADLER on one side and ENGLAND on the other side. And in the center of the bottom is the blue stamped and sealed - Royal Crown Crest; and then a waving Banner beneath the crown; with SADLER stamped into the banner. T are also 5 gold numbers hand written in gold and they are 42107. This I understand is the pattern number although the name of the pattern is no longer available. T are also other letters written into the china bone in yellow; which appears to maybe be the word SAGE; but which I am not certain of. Could be a signature, but I wear bifocals and can't be certain. T are NO chips, cracks, crazing, scratches, or discolorations in either the lid or the tea pot. The colors are bright and unfaded and the glazed finish is shiny and perfect - and the teapot rings well when tapped and would prove to be a very valuable asset to any ones Bone China Teapot Collection.
