THE 'JAMES SADLER' BONE CHINA COVERED TEA POT! Founded in 1882 - JAMES SADLER is the United Kingdom's LEADING BRAND in the COLLECTABLE TEAPOT market. It ALL began with James Sadler, who built a factory in Stoke-On-Trent, and made a name for himself by making the finest Bone China and Earthenware Teapots highly desired by Europes Royals and Its' most 'Elite'. He soon became renowned, and a JAMES SADLER Teapot became synonymous with Quality and Good Taste. When covered, this unique and extremely rare James Sadler Teapot stands almost 5 full inches tall to the top of the finial. The pot itself is approximately 5" in diameter not including the spout or handle. The round footed base is 3" in diameter; and is also 3" in width to the outside rims of the opening. Beautifully designed with a lavendar, yellow, deep red, and blue floral bouquet, with green leaves and fernery intricately entwined around a full blossomed pink rose in the center and within the flowers. This floral bouquet is on the left and right side of the teapot with the pink blossomed rose a little larger on one side of the bone china pot. The matching lid is also adorned with the same flowers - less the rose and in a smaller arrangement on the left and right. The rim of the pot is gently scalloped bone china - as is the rim of the lid, and the rim of the footed base. read more
