This impressive collector's item is a lovely teapot and lid made by Sadler & Sons Ltd. of Bursalem, England. It features a detailed look at London, its surrounds and the palace Horse Guards. This is Sadler's Horse Guards #4661 teapot from the London Heritage Collection, design #2005894. Description: This teapot is soft off-white in color, has lovely gold accents on handle and spout and provides intricately detailed graphics depicting the Horse Guards, Buckingham Palace and other London Landmarks. The colors in the graphic designs and floral bands on the pot and lid are vibrant and exceptionally eye appealing. There is a small spill protector lip near the top of the pot adjacent to the pour spout. With lid in place the set measures about 6 1/2" tall by 7" wide including the handle and spout. Condition: The teapot and its lid are in good condition with no damage or crazing. The tea pot was definitely used for tea see pictures. Historical Note: James Sadler and Sons Ltd. was a pottery manufacturer originally founded in 1882 by James Sadler in Burslem, Stoke-on-Trent, United Kingdom. The company first specialized in "Brown Betty" teapots.
