This is a lot of 5 stylized original folk art pencil drawings of sailing ships, with lighthouses in the background. The drawings are signed "W," and each ship flies a flag marked "HOP." Three of the lighthouses are marked "U.S.C.G." The drawings are similar, but not identical, and depict different ships passing differently marked lighthouses. Each drawing is on an 8" X 10" sheet of white paper, and is rendered in heavy graphite pencil. Unfortunately, they have no provenance, and I have been unable to find any information regarding the subjects or the artist. Unique, charming, and suitable for framing.
