Nobuyoshi Nagahara , the legendary nib designer and craftsman, joined Sailor in 1946, at the age of 14. Over the years, he became an icon at the Sailor factory. And until now, he has dedicated his life as a nib specialist for over six decades with Sailor pens. With his powerful talent for designing nibs, he has created a large number of nibs which have made human’s hand writing become just more comfortable. “ The thing that makes me most happy doing this work is being able to help people with their worries and unhappiness, thanks to fountain pens ” , said Nobuyoshi Nagahara. But, this is what I would like to tell you: Nobuyoshi Nagahara has announced to take his official retirement next month . However, don’t worry !!! From now on, his son, Yukio Nagahara , also an employee of Sailor, will officially fill his shoes at making art of nib and directing the design process.
