This is an Antique Oak 3D Saint Rita Of Cascia Prayer Vigil Shadow Box from the estate of a local priest. This is rare, and in super condition, as pictured. The box features a statue of Saint Rita Of Cascia holding a Crucifix. The statue appears to be made of Chalk ware or plaster and is hand painted. At the base of the statue inside of the case are flowers. I'm not sure of the material used to create the flowers. At the top of the glass front is reverse painting on containing angels, a cross and the phrase "Saint Rita of Cascia". The painted glass is in excellent condition. This is very old! I believe this dates from the late 1800's to around the turn of the century. Overall this is in excellent condition for its age, as pictured! The Vigil Prayer box measures, 24 1/4" x 15 1/4" x 4". Don't pass up this rare Antique Religious treasure. This will make a stunning addition to your home, or collection.
