Paul Alexander"Wing Commander 5: Action Stations"Original prelim Book Cover ArtI still have in inventory too many prelims and sketches - and so I lowered the prices on all of them to get them sold! All are original artworks, created in preparation for completing the final paintings used as illustrations on the covers, or as interiors, for books, magazines, games and more.This is the last remaining original preliminary illustration that Paul Alexander still has in his possession....one he created for Book 5 of the SF novel "Action Stations" - part of the very popular "Wing Commander" series by William R. Forstchen, published by Baen, 1997. The color study is 11" x 6" in gouache on illustration board about 11.25" x 8" and comes matted...and is signed in the margin bottom right side. Of the prelims submitted by Paul, this color piece is the one the Art Director chose for the final...and see how closely it relates to the finished cover art, as published....it is also the last color prelim that Paul has in his inventory! All others have been sold, this is the last one!Final notes: This is an original artwork, and no rights of reproduction accompany the sale.
