Salem, Massachusetts, Sarah Symonds, House of Seven Gables, Miniature 3 Dimensional House Sculpture. The piece is in good condition with some minor nicks and t and some paint loss as seen in the photos...this charming piece can be restored if desired. The house measures 4 1/4" across by 3" tall by 3" wide and is marked along the bottom front .....House of Seven Gables, Salem, Mass, and is marked Sarah Symonds along the bottom on the back of the house. The house is hollow and t is no bottom to this piece. This Symonds piece would make a great addition to any Salem related collection. Thanks go out to a nice ebayer who told me that this item is actually an Incense Burner. The house would sit on a plate or some sort of flat non-flammable surface and as the incense would burn, the plume of smoke would exit thru a tiny hole in the chimney or thru a tiny hole in one of the doorways to the house. This house has two tiny holes in two doorways and one very tiny one in one of the chimneys.
