I almost always have a lot of great silver listed, so please check out my other auctions~~ We have really reasonable shipping, and we ship within 24 hours of confirmed payment and are happy to combine shipping on multiple wins. We start most of our auctions at $9.99, regardless of higher actual value. T is no reserve, highest bid wins. Please look at the photos and read the description carefully. This is a very nice large heavy, well-molded antique solid sterling silver souvenir spoon. It is a famous Salem, Massachusetts, Witch spoon. This is a beautiful spoon. Daniel Low was a well-known jeweler in the Salem area in the 1880's. He got the idea to make a Witch spoon as a souvenir of Salem and thus began the huge souvenir spoon craze that remains today. This is a very early design, made by the Durgin division of Gorham. One of these is a must for any serious spoon collector. The handle has a molded witch on a broom and "Salem." It is about 5-3/4" long. It is monogrammed "ETM" (we think) on the back of the handle. It is in good condition with some light scratching and miniscule dings from normal handling and polishing. It is marked "Sterling D. Low Pat. Apd. For" on the back of the handle. It is also stamped with the "D" hallmark for Durgin. It weighs about 20.6 grams or .72 ounces of solid sterling silver on my digital point scale. PLEASE EMAIL ANY QUESTIONS!
