This auction features a very nice Salerno Finest Cookies & Crackers tin container. T is no indication of manufacture or date, but it looks to be from the 1950âe(tm)s or 1960âe(tm)s. This great collectible originally held fine Salerno brand cookies or crackers, but also serves a dual purpose as a lunchbox or picnic basket once the cookies or crackers were gone. It has the original bent wood handles, the original metal clasp to secure the lid, a clever vent hole system in the back and protective lining paper (added later?) on the inside lid and bottom surface. It is a nice size (12âe x 7âe x 5 3⁄4âe) - large enough for a good sized lunch or picnic for 2 and yet small enough to store conveniently. It is in great shape and would make an excellent display or could still be used as well. The metal is in very good condition inside and out with very little sign of use or wear. The exterior paint looks like a picnic basket and it is also in very good condition with only very minimal wear noted as would be expected from normal use. The winning bidder pays shipping. Paypal and money orders are accepted. Sorry, no personal checks. Payment is to be received within 5 days of the completion of the auction. Shipment will be made within 3 days of receipt of payment. We ship only to the United States . Insurance is recommended for breakable
