Gotta give you the background on this piece. In Hidalgo Illinois, in 1929, a couple opened a small grocery store. In 1969 they closed it. All the years since, everything that was still there stayed there. Old store stock, everything, including the advertising. Saturday it was all auctioned off. This piece had been stored in the basement for over 50 years, and most likely dates to the 40s, possibly earlier. Incidentally, what looks like a brown mark on the left of the word Sally, is actually ancient tape of some sort. I just left it exactly as I found it.
