This is a great little salt glazed ovoid stoneware jug I found recently down in a basement at a local estate sale. I wish I knew more about it! The piece measures about 7 inches tall and is about 4 1/2 inches wide at the "fattest" part. This piece does have a minor chip on the bottom that just peeks at eye level. The chip is about 1/2 inch long. Other than this chip I don't see any chips, cracks, hairlines, or repairs. T are the normal kiln marks and pops seen on this sort of pottery.
