Superb Karen Karnes salt glazed covered vessel. Measures approx. 9x6 inches. In good order. Fully signed. Very similar one just brought 1100 plus the juice at auction. per vasefinder: Notes: Karen Karnes was born in New York City. She studied at the Brooklyn College, as well as Alfred. From 1952-1954, she was a potter-in-residence at Black Mountain College, Asheville, North Carolina with her then husband David Weinrib. Today, Karen Karnes resides in Vermont. Exhibited at the Nationals from 1951-1960 and 1962.
