For sale is an Original Salvador Dali signed Asher Tapestry #159/500. The medium is silk-screen on cotton weave. The dimensions are 5'10" by 4'3". Edition size is 500 pieces, no APs or HCs. When published,this was only the second tapestry of Dali's recent years.The most recent, of the famous "Persistance of Memory" Dali has used the medium of Tapestry only rarely, to celebrate favorite paintings and meaningful events. "Asher", is one of The Twelve Tribes of Israel,named after one of Jacob's 12 sons, a tribe which settled in the NW Cannan area of the ancient land of Palestine, now a part of Israel near Lebanon. An image from the original suite of etchings done in 1971,called the "Twelve Tribes" Suite, "Asher" was done for the 25th Anniversary of Israel's existance as a modern state. The Authenticity is certified by S.P.A.D.E.M., located in Paris, the most respected authenticators of art in the world, and specialists on Salvador Dali. I personally purchased this very fine Dali Tapestry directly from Mr. Richard Perry of Minotaur Galleries in Las Vegas in 1983. You will not be disappointed with this fine addition to your Dali collection.
