This is an outstanding and very finely carved Badger fetish carving by Cochiti Indian artist Salvador Romero. I have never seen another from Salvador in many years of selling his work. This wide strong badger really has the true old style feel and design. The heavy weight and texture of the stone is wonderful. It measures 3.0 inches long. Salvador carves from stone found on the reservation. Mint museum grade condition. A masterpiece from one of the greatest Native American carvers ever!
