This is a pretty Venetian decanter that has some damage. I believe the decanter was made by Salviati ca 1870. It is made of swirled light green glass decorated with rigaree trails. T are three problems with the glass. First, a 1 1/8" piece of the rigaree has broken off. Second, t is a 1/2" hairline crack under one of the crimped canes of the rigaree. And last, t is a circular ghost of water stain on the bottom that I could not remove. Because of these problems, bidding begins at a low cost. It is a great old decanter, despite its problems. It has a uniform kick (indentation) in the bottom of about 1/2". This design does not support a stopper. It stands about 8 1/2" tall and is about 5 1/2" in diameter at its widest point. Shipping: You can combine shipping if you win more than one of my auctions in a week, so be sure to look at other things I have for sale. T are a couple of options for shipping. Please indicate your shipping preference when paying. A calculator is provided below for your convenience. I cannot be responsible for loss or damage during shipping, so insurance is recommended. Return Policy : Your satisfaction is important to me. I inspect each glass item carefully and list honestly to take the risk out of buying online. If you are not satisfied, glass may be returned for a 100% refund of the purchase price -- no questions asked. It must be returned in its original condition within two weeks of the time of purchase. Texas State Residents : Texas state residents pay 6.75% state sales tax. The state requires tax to be collected on both the purchase price and shipping cost. EBay will add it automatically to the invoice at the end of the auction. If you are buying to resell, please send me your tax ID and I will adjust the invoice. International Bidders : First Class mail cannot be confirmed or insured, so shipping first class is at the buyer's risk. Priority and Express mail comes with delivery confirmation and a certain amount of indemnity coverage ($100 for express mail and variable for priority mail). Additional insurance can be purchased for Priority and Express mail if it is needed.
