Samantha Parkington Doll in Meet Samantha OutfitReleased in 1986 one of three original American Girl historical dolls. Samantha was archived in May 2009 after selling out Feb 3, 2009. Face: Classic Mold, Skin: Light, Hair: Dark brown, slightly curly, bangs, Eyes: Dark Brown Samantha's dress is checked taffeta in burgundy, brown, and ivory. It features a dropped waist, pleated front, and burgundy satin sash. Velcros up the back and wrists. White cotton bloomer-style underpants with elastic around the legs to make them puffy. Long black ribbed tights/stockings. Black plastic slip on shoes. Wide taffeta hair bow matching dress fabric. Original box included. Doll was probably purchased in 1986. Small white scuff on doll's right cheek. Original white fabric body (this was before they used the flesh tone fabric body). Small mark on white fabric body (maybe ink?).I was a pretty gentle child, so most items are in excellent condition. No tears. All defects noticed will be mentioned in the item listing.
