NO RESERVE circa 1900 This Desk is Appraised at $15,750 just for the desk without the history behind it. Now is is offered for a quick sale at no reserve...Kittinger Buffalo Mahogany Desk was owned by Samuel Cummings the president of Inter Arms Corporation.Inter Arms Corp. provided a lot of the guns to the US Army for WWII, the Korean War, and the 6 day way. The desk was made in the early 1900's and has a lot of historical value. It has a leather top and beautiful trim. The desk has a unique feature - the main drawers will not open unless the middle drawer is cracked open. This was to make sure no one could take anything out of the side drawers as long as Cummings was holding the center drawer shut. It was put in because he had people from all governments and military groups from many different countries in his office...not all of which he trusted. The desk was found stored in the attack of the old Interarms Office building and wharehouse in Alexandria, VA (washington DC) and shipped down to Boynton just 3 weeks ago. It is the first time this desk has been used in over 25 years. This piece will be a great historical addition to any antique collection or a perfect starter piece. It will only go up in value. Kittinger Desks Usually sell for $5,000 to $25,000. This one has history on top of just being a Kittinger desk. It was found in the attack of the Inter Arms Corporation old headquarters in Alexandria, VA (washington DC). It hadn't been used for over 25 years. It was covered in dust and was only retrieved and shipped down to Boynton Beach 3 weeks ago. For a beautiful Historical desk that will only go up in value, a perfect investment...
