SAMUEL KIRK, BALTIMORE, 19TH CENTURY An exceptional silver water urn of typical shoulder-vase form, mounted two angular handles with applied ram masks, on spreading foot, covered with a domed lid topped by a finial of campana-shaped urn with bathing bird, issuing a willow tree, chased allover with floral and chinoiserie decoration and two cartouche reserves on matted ground, one engraved with coat-of-arms, the other chased with flowers in wicker basket, near the base of the body mounted spigot with floral square handle having bird-form finial, impressed mark `S. KIRK.` and `II`. Height 20 inches; weight 98 troy ounces.
