is a 1890s western Apache most likely San- Carlos 12 inche basket that is in excellent condition for its age. It measures 12 1/4 inches by about 2 3/4 inches high. This basket has many designs to it including rattle snake design, humans,dogs, frog, and 2 differant crosses along with geometrical designs. This basket comes from a private collection that I bought some time ago. The basket was made for thier owen use and could use a cleaning but I will let the new owner decide on that. T is some minor stich lost but it is very minor. This is the classic 4 rod construction and would be a important piece to any 19th century american indian collection.
