The Cleveland Press. April 18, 1906. Same day as the San Francisco earthquake. Ten pages. Good condition. The newspaper is soft and pliable. Modest wear on the horizontal crease......... The newspaper is original, authentic and vintage. ................. The scanner plate is much smaller than the newspaper pages so only portions are shown.....The newspaper is quite wide so we will send it rolled in a mailing tube..............The text and pictures on the earthquake are on pages 1, 2, 6 and 7. Each page has good headlines and could be framed. ....Frisco is devastated by Earthquake and Fire. Destruction of the Palace Hotel seems inevitable. Dead may number 2000. Dynamite used to blow up wrecked buildings. Water supply cut off. ...................... Page 2 has a map of the city showing the destroyed area about as far as Montgomery Street the first day. Volcano the cause. Tidal wave will soon follow. Clevelanders in San Francisco in danger. Due to sun spots..................................................... Page 6.
