Sandusky Perry Victory Celebration Parade 1913 RPPC DESCRIPTION CONDITION CORNER WEAR CREASES POSTALLY USED Undivided/Divided Back Social History near Mint Very Good Good Fair Yes Yes No Divided SPECIAL NOTES: The part of the parade honoring the one hundredth anniversary of the Battle of Lake Erie . Held held in Sandusky , September 5 and 6 1913. ” Participants in the grand celebration included former President William Howard Taft, Lieutenant-General Nelson A. Miles, and the governors of eight states: Governor James M. Cox of Ohio, Governor Samuel Ralston of Indiana, Governor James McCreary of Kentucky, Governor Woodbridge Ferris of Michigan, Governor John Kinley Tener of Pennsylvania, Governor Aram J. Pothier of Rhode Island, Governor Edward Dunne of Illinois, and Governor Francis McGovern of Wisconsin.”Quoted from the Sandusky Historical Society Website. I was not able to determine the two dignitaries riding in the back of the automobile. Auto behind has a clearly readable license plate: 25473 OHIO 1913.
