A beautiful example of a Sandwich Glass Industry product. Named after Hiram Dillaway for the special patent that he aquired , July 18, 1871. This is a very heavy, high quality glass that was pressed into the mold. Please reference THE GLASS INDUSTRY IN SANDWICH, No.2258 and Thuro Oil Lamp Book One, page 115d. This lamp was made with the fancy wave on the inside and without. As you can see this has it under the oil drip edge which has the embossed date, JULY 18 1871. The hand applied handle with thumbpiece is Pristine. T are no chips, cracks or breaks on the lamp. Measures 4" to the top of the No.1 collar and 4" across the bottom with lots of natural wear on the edges. Sold without burner and chinmey. Please email with any further questions or concerns.
